I created a logo and brand guidelines for a Y2K-inspired fashion magazine targeting a Gen Z audience. GLITCH’s mission is to curate, celebrate, and educate the fashion-forward by connecting the nostalgia of the Y2K era with contemporary values and trends. Designed for a typically anti-establishment audience, GLITCH embraces an edgy, controversial, fun, and tongue-in-cheek tone that resonates with its audience's bold and rebellious spirit. To support the brand identity, I developed a mood board capturing the magazine’s visual essence and crafted a detailed customer persona to define its core readership. These elements, combined with the logo and brand guidelines, establish a cohesive and trendsetting identity that bridges nostalgia with modern fashion culture.

Brand Guidelines, Moodboard and Customer Persona

In the first stage of this class project, I created brand guidelines for GLITCH, a Y2K-inspired fashion magazine. These guidelines, which include the logo, tone, and visual identity, served as a foundation for future projects throughout the semester. They ensured consistency and alignment with GLITCH’s edgy, nostalgic, and Gen Z-focused brand, guiding my creative decisions in subsequent work.

Following the development of GLITCH’s brand guidelines, I designed a mock partnership with Nike to create a feature for GLITCH’s upcoming November issue. The project celebrated Nike’s streetwear collection through an editorial spread that captured GLITCH’s Y2K-inspired aesthetics. During the studio shoot, I focused on blending dynamic, edgy imagery with behind-the-scenes elements like green screens and lighting setups. This approach emphasized GLITCH’s bold, experimental style while showcasing Nike’s iconic fashion, reinforcing GLITCH’s position as a leader in the fashion and streetwear industry.

Short-Form Content

To promote GLITCH magazine’s upcoming fall partnership with Nike, I created a series of short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram. These in-feed and sponsored posts combine stop motion and traditional video techniques, blending Nike’s iconic fashion with GLITCH’s edgy, experimental style. Featuring behind-the-scenes` details like green screens and lighting setups, the videos create a mysterious and cinematic atmosphere, generating excitement for GLITCH’s fall issue and reinforcing its role as a trendsetter in the fashion and streetwear industry.

Long-Form Content

To announce the upcoming launch of GLITCH magazine, I created a long-form video that serves as its “origin story.” The video highlights GLITCH’s vision and technological aesthetic, blending b-roll from vintage news segments with dynamic audio clips. It also teases GLITCH’s first partnership with Nike, offering a preview of the magazine's bold and innovative direction. This project captures the energy and nostalgia of GLITCH, setting the tone for its debut.
