I designed a series of three posters for a Honey Jarring Party hosted by the campus bee team. Each poster was crafted to explore distinct aesthetics and vibes, catering to varied audiences while celebrating the event's playful yet educational nature. The first poster embraces minimalism, with clean lines and a focus on simplicity to convey elegance and clarity. The second poster adopts a corporate aesthetic, using structured layouts and polished elements to give a professional feel. Finally, the third poster takes inspiration from punk street party culture, featuring bold, grungy typography and dynamic visuals to create an energetic and rebellious vibe. Together, these posters demonstrate versatility in design and the ability to adapt visuals to different audiences and styles.
The Process

Sketches!!
This project really helped me see the importance of sketching. We were required to propose 30 sketches, which forced me to dig deep and think creatively. At about sketch #20, I didn't know how I was going to make another 10 sketches, but I'm really glad I kept going because my favorite poster ended up being sketch #29.

Color Trials
Getting the colors right took some exploration, specifically with the minimalist poster. Yellow and white can be quite the tricky color combo, so I tested black in the design to see how well that worked. I didn't like it, so it was back to finding the perfect yellow.
